From 15 June, 2009, all applications received directly to the British High Commission will be returned.

You should submit the following documentation (only original documents please, photocopies are not acceptable)

·         A completed passport application form:

·         C1 if you are 16 years of age and over. Please also read guidance notes or

·        C2 if you are under 16 years. Please also read guidance notes

  • Passport Fee Sheet; (with Australia Post Bar Codes)
  • Existing British passport. Expired passports will be cancelled and returned to you.
  • Two identical passport size photographs - one photo must be countersigned by the person who countersigns your application form. The photograph standards required for biometric passports are higher than those needed for earlier types of passports. If the photograph does not meet the standards required your complete application will be returned to you at your expense. This could cause a long delay in processing your application. (See links on right of page for standards of photographs required and also a suggested list of photographers)
  • If you have changed your name since your last passport was issued we will require additional documents.
  • A signed checklist confirming you have enclosed all the required documentation.
  • If you have changed your name and wishing to replace an existing passport, click here for more information.
