If the passport was issued in Australia, return it with your documents or previous passport and we will amend the error as a matter of urgency.  We need to see proof of the correct spelling or date of birth before we can amend the passport.  If the passport was issued overseas, complete a C1 or C2 application form and send it with the passport, your documents and two recent passport photos.
