We are currently experiencing delays due to seasonal postal demand and industrial action taken at the post office. In some cases, passports are taking up to 4 weeks to be returned.
If you have already made a passport application and have an emergency or compassionate need to travel, please call the CareLine helpline or alternatively call your nearest British consulate, who may be able to help.
Those wishing to make a passport application need to submit their application through a selected Australia Post outlet. Please note that postal applications will not be accepted in Canberra and will be returned.
