Award-winning employee benefit scheme launches in Australia

An employee-benefit scheme that's proved a hit with global giants like McDonalds, American Express and Diageo is being launched in Australia at the British Consulates in Sydney and Melbourne.

Asperity Employee Benefits' award-winning platform, Reward Gateway, gives employees discounts at over 300 top retailers, money which is then reimbursed directly to the employees themselves.

Reward Gateway introduces Cashback for online purchases to Australia for the first time. The beauty of Cashback is its simplicity. When employees who are part of the scheme make an online purchase at a participating store, the discount is then automatically credited to the employee's bank account. Some of the savings include $15 Cashback on a $100 Vodafone or '3' post-pay contract, 10% Cashback from Angus & Robertson books and 5 per cent Cashback on hotels booked with Expedia.

Glenn Elliott, Asperity's MD makes the point that it's a much cheaper way of giving employees extra cash in their pockets, rather than awarding a raise or a bonus:

"For a few dollars per person per year, employers can give their whole workforce access to significant savings which make a real impact on disposable income.
