Our network of regional Consular offices provides support for British nationals visiting or living in Australia.  Our offices are responsible for the following consular districts:

  • Canberra, High Commission - Australian Capital Territory
  • Brisbane, Consulate - Northern Territory, Queensland
  • Melbourne, Consulate-General - South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria
  • Perth, Consulate - Western Australia
  • Sydney, Consulate-General - New South Wales

British nationals who need help should call the relevant consular office as shown above.

Register to vote



British citizens living abroad can register to vote as an 'Overseas voter' to be eligible to vote in UK Parliamentary (general) elections and European Parliamentary elections in the UK.
